What's on Justin Sucher's mind...
In the last calendar year, society as we know it has undergone great change.
Change can be defined in multiple ways. It can be an alteration or modification,
replacing one thing with another or even just a bunch of coins. In fact, change has
been an oft used word in our vocabulary as of late. A presidential election was won
on the fundamentals of "change."
But what would a presidential election have to do with a basketball simulation league?
Nothing. I just thought it was a neat entrance to what I am going to talk about. Change.
As we come closer to the end of January in 2009, I decided to look back at a couple resolutions
I made. I'm not one to make resolutions as a rule, but this year I decided to defy all odds and make a few.
First off, I am going to try and not trade any of my players for a full month. That way, some of the GM's who
said I can't go without trading can be proved wrong.
I'd also like to make a trade with Tree. I talk to him every single
day online and we have yet to make a trade. However, I don't see anything
happening in the near future.
Finally, for my last resolution, I'd like to punch Chris Brown. His trade
demands have become so ridiculously insane that I have found myself yelling at
him through my computer.
I'm sure I could come up with a few more resolutions, but nothing worth writing here.
Anyway, Dave Miller recently wrote a nice letter to Gary Gorski, Founder of Wolverine Studios. Here's basically what he said.
Dear Gary,
This is Dave Miller again. You know, the short guy with the spiky hair? I tried calling you, but I couldn't reach the phone
because my girlfriend put it back up on the counter. Anyways, your programs are awesome. It's practically flawless and we at
coast2coast wanted to commend you on the great program you made. We're glad you could throw in all 2,000 of these Run Time Errors
too. Every time I get one, it just makes me love Wolverine Studios more and more. I hope your second edition of the program has
even more bugs, because what would a good company be without more flaws? Anyways, have a good one and hope to speak with you soon.
-Dave
If Norman was a real prick, he'd switch over to DDS: PB2 to fuck everyone in the league over. Good thing he's made a resolution or
two and changed for the new year. Norman Mah is no longer a prick. Now, he's just a twatface.
As we address the topic of change, the 2009 season is off and running in coast2coast and some
changes have already been noted.
The Dallas Mavericks are ranked twice as high in the power rankings last year, Kobe's not injured yet, the Los Angeles Clippers are
rebuilding for some god awful reason and LeBron James is now available. You can IM BigTree500 at anytime asking for him. I heard he's
available at a discounted rate, but don't quote me there.
However, there are some things that may never change. Andrew Walker has yet to make a trade, Chris Kaman is still the second coming of
Jesus, Jack Li's mother is still hot and Gary was, yet again, part of a deal that was almost vetoed.
Nevertheless, change bas been and will be a commonly seen theme in coast2coast this season. Teams that have previously triumphed will suffer
from a less-than-satisfactory season. Teams that have underachieved will rise into the hunt for yet another championship.
But let me ask you this. Will the Jason Kidd and Dwyane Wade reunification prove to be worthwhile? Will the defending Eastern Conference
champion Charlotte Bobcats overcome the adversity received throughout all of their off-season moves? And will the Denver Nuggets' GM overcome
the adversity that he received when he decided to switch to men?
We shall see.
